PASRR Contractor

Statement of Work

Contractor will conduct PASRR (Preadmission Screening and Resident Review) assessments for individuals with diagnoses of mental illness, intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, and/or related conditions based upon review of records, current adaptive behavior assessment, current cognitive assessment (if no other valid assessment results are available), individual interview, and interview of significant caregiver and/or family member.  

Professional Licensure/Experience

Independent Contractors will have a professional license and minimum of two (2) years of behavioral health experience to administer mental health (MI) assessments:

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

  • Licensed Social Worker (LSW – Master’s level)

  • Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)

  • Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT)

  • Registered Nurse (RN)

  • Licensed Psychologist (PhD,PsyD)

    • QMHPs *(Qualified Mental Health Professional) -Non licensed level masters level clinician with a minimum of 2 years of behavioral health experience.

Professionals who have a minimum of one (1) year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to administer IDD assessments: 

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

  • Licensed Social Worker (LSW – Bachelor and Master’s level)

  • Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)

  • Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT)

  • Registered Nurse (RN)

  • Licensed Psychologist (PhD, PsyD)

  • QIDP/QDDP* (Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional/Qualified Developmental Disabilities Professional)

 

*QIDP/QDDP is a bachelor level Professional specializing in providing services to individuals with an intellectual/developmental disability.

Skills and Qualifications

Skilled Communicator

  •  Has the ability to request and verify information from individuals being assessed

  • Demonstrates the ability to relay information in a clear and professional manner both

verbally and in-writing, using correct punctuation, spelling, and grammar

  • Skilled conversationalist—knowing how to guide conversational flow and skilled listeners

who know when to say nothing to encourage respondents to consider fully what is being asked, thereby empowering the respondents to provide accurate and thorough information

  • Culturally sensitive to individuals whose support needs are being assessed

  • Genuinely interested in learning about the people they assess making the individual

and other informants feel that they are the most important persons to them at that time.

 

Technologically Skilled

  • Knowledge, familiarity, and comfort with technology sufficient to readily use the internet, use our AssessmentPro application, maintain Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) compliant personal technology privacy and security measures, and readily problem solve common laptop and access issues

 

Assessment Skills

  • Superb clinical judgment, evidenced by clinical interviewing skills that successfully evaluate all relevant symptoms, needs/strengths, and orientation

  • Person-centered writing skills

  • Have the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform and manage independent assessments successfully

  • Skillsets in organization, time management, and materials management

  • Ability to address difficult questions and problematic individuals, effective communication

  •  Linguistically Competent or Able to Use Interpreter

  • Be linguistically competent in the primary language of the individual being assessed, including ASL or communicate with the assistance of non-verbal forms of communication, such as assistive technology and other auxiliary aids as appropriate OR

  • Ability to utilize experienced translation vendors to provide in-person or telephonic interpretation services

  •  Ability to Analyze and Verify Available Information

  • Have the investigative skills necessary to verify the information received from family, caregivers, and/or guardians by cross-referencing all available information

  • Invested and Motivated

  • Self-motivated/independent worker

  • Go-getter—who enjoys learning, thrives on feedback, wants to improve their performance, and couples this outlook with good people skills
